In this crazy world of ours there are several trends that are undeniable:
- Large retail stores will still earn profit
- Layoffs will still happen especially during a recession
- The inflation of the US dollar will continue to increase
- Wages are not increasing fast enough (if at all) with inflation
We as a society have an uncomfortable ease with our current economic situation. We are still the largest economy in the world. Yet we have many still struggling to keep food on the table. Our neighbors need help. But we do not know how to do that without just giving money to them if they ask for it.
This is where HoneyDo comes in.
Theron, Founder of HoneyDo and myself (also a Co-Founder) asked ourselves a question.
What can we do to help others and stop this trend?
The idea of an online marketplace came to mind.
What if we created a place and community where people can put their tools and equipment up for rent?
This is where the idea for HoneyDo came from. We want to strengthen communities by encouraging people to share with others while making a profit off of tools that normally just sit around. Our founding team envisioned small business owners with lots of extra tools stepping up and letting the community rent from them to do jobs. Young entrepreneurs would engage with older businesses and rent what they need to start their own business to help others. Not everyone is a Do-It-Yourselfer. By creating a place where entrepreneurs, business owners and Do-It-Yourselfers can mingle and help each other, we in turn create a strong community.
So what is HoneyDo?
HoneyDo, is our online marketplace and community, built for you. HoneyDo originally comes from the catch phrase most domestic partners say to their significant other “Honey, could you do the lawn today? Honey, can you do the brakes on my car tomorrow?” We all need help with our domestic tasks. Let's get our tasks done and help our neighbors out.
